Resources:
This page is dedicated to providing links to resources for you to use while on your journey.
If there is a resource that you know of that is not yet on this page please send me a message and I will add it.
Good luck on your journey as always!
The Organic Chemistry Tutor
Organic Chemistry can be a challenge at times but with the right resources and effort, a good grade may not be as hard to attain as you may think. Personally, I love chemistry but I have had my fair share of poor lectures that were not the best at teaching so I had to go elsewhere for help and this youtube channel was one of the resources that helped me Ace my chem exams. There are videos covering the majority of concepts from more than just Ochem.
EMTPrep.com is an excellent resource for those of you who are interested in becoming EMT's. There are practice test questions, review material, and videos on practical skills that are extremely helpful. Some of their services are free and others have a small fee associated with them but even if you are just going to use the free resources I highly recommend them. Also, search "EMTPrep" on youtube for videos on skills and more.
The AAMC has no shortage of great resources for future physicians on every step of their journey.
Some resources they offer include:
- The Future Doc Diaries (Blog) -> you can look into contributing to The Future Doc Diaries on their website.
- Scholarship opportunities -> from loan forgiveness to helping you pay for medical school applications.
- Valuable information to help you navigate through your journey to becoming an MD
This is an excellent resource for every type of student at any stage in their journey including students already in medical school. The site is managed by Dr.Ryan Gray, some resources this site provide are: amazing podcasts "The Premed Years", "The OldPremeds Podcast", and "The MCAT Podcast"; they also provide a range of other services for students and forums to ask question and get answers from other students in different stages of their journeys as well as from physicians on the podcasts and Dr.Gray himself. This is by far one of the most amazing resources I have come across in my journey as an aspiring physician I highly recommend that you take advantage of it and check it out.
Youtubers involved in medicine
Youtube is an excellent resource for many things as a student. As a premed student learning about others journeys in medicine can be encouraging and even helpful as many of them share tips for time management, stress management, and information about their medical schools, their lives in medicine and many other things which are very similar to what I am doing on this blog. I have created a list of a few YouTubers that I follow from time to time and that I have found interesting or helpful in different ways. I have hyperlinked the title to one of my favorite med vloggers. Here is a list of additional Youtbers in the medical field I have found helpful: Tommy Martin, Jane and Jady, Student Doctor Tompson, DocOssarch.
